Let’s Catch Up

It’s been a long long while, much longer than I intended. Perhaps because of the current global situation, and we’re now on the verge of coming out of our third lockdown here in the UK, it feels a little bit longer than it actually has been.

Since my last post it feels like I have done a lot yet achieved very little in the way of finished objects, although I do feel like I have learned a lot. Saying that I have completed a pair of knitted socks, my first ever pair, and I am now nearly halfway through my second pair of socks. I also have a growing sock yarn stash (of course!) and enough partial balls to have a good number of handmade socks at my disposal in the future. Perhaps even some for family members when my speed and skill increases.

Over the past of couple of weeks I have dyed up all of my bare yarn stock and have added 8 new colourways to my Etsy shop. So definitely check those out if you haven’t already 🙂

Maybe it’s the signs of spring, but I have a particular urge for a couple of nice handmade summer tops.
One of which is the Staple Linen Top by Joji Locatelli which I am vicariously yarn shopping for at the moment, and I can’t decide if I want to sew or crochet the other yet. More about that next time I’m sure 🙂

I do hope everyone is safe and well.
